Year end reflections and looking forward

2006 is almost over and its time for some reflection and some looking forward (with goals).
At the beginning of the year I was playing some 0,50/1,00 limit and basically playing break
even. I limped KJo UTG and probably made lots of other stupid moves (lots of slowplaying).

During february I decided to switch to SNG's and some tourneys. I bought some books (theory
of poker was the first one). Through this book I found out about www.twoplustwo.com which
is a great site with lots of good advice from very experienced players.

I played about 1,000 SNG's with an average return of about 20% and won a $6 tourney for about
$1250 in April. That moment I decided to move to No limit (full ring). I started at NL100
with a BR of about $3000. Did this for about 3 months (moved to NL200 with $6000 in July)
and then came to the conclusion that everybody was moving to 6max.

At full ring its basically just set mining, 6 max is a total different game, but I think its
lots more fun and you have a bigger advantage against the donks at your table. Started in
August with 6max and a bankroll of $7000 and I've never regretted that decision.

After NY my bankroll is back to about $23,2K (withdraw 3K) and as some of you know I will
start as a 'pro' beginning in february/march. I really have the feeling that this is the
right moment to take the step. Especially here in the Netherlands poker is really booming
and with all the legilation issues in the US you never know how long it holds on and I don't
see myself doing this for more then 3 years.

I'm gonna try to play about 35 hours poker each week and also teach about 4 starting players.
My goal for next year will be to make about an average of 12,5K per month. Take one month
holiday off and january as I will not play full-time in that month and my goal for next
year is about 130K. Yep I know it sounds like a lot, but I really think it should be
attainable because I think I'm capable of playing anywhere between 80K and 100K hands a month.
To get to this goal I don't even have to play higher then NL200 for this. So when I will move
up to NL400/NL600/NL1000, which is likely giving the BR I will probably have somewhere in the
middle of the year, this will be a lot more (if I'm a winner there as well).

I think a winrate of 3 - 3,5 while 8-tabling NL200 and 6 on NL100 is possible for me.
Offcourse I can move up earlier, but I just like my low variance income this way (my StDev
is about 39BB/100 which is pretty low). Offcourse I will try NL400/600/1000 when the time is
good for it so my goals ($ wise) are likely on the low side....

Goals 2006:

Play 1,000,000 hands
Earn $120,000 in cash games
Earn $ 15,000 in bonuses
Learn 4 students to play NL100 6 max as a winner

Wish you all a very happy, healthy and profitable new year!

Sustainable?

Sometimes you have those sessions where everything seems to work. Every move you make is good and you never get sucked out....today session was one like that.

Back from NY

Finally an update again. Back from NY, which was very impressive.
That city really never sleeps. Maybe I post some photos later on.

Back home I played 2 very lang sessions of about 4 hours each and after a my upswing I now know again what a downswing looks like....

The most funy was one hand was at Full tilt at the deepstack table (200BB).
I re-raised an aggro donkey with AsKs and he called, flop was 7s4s2s and he open pushed 170BB all-in. I called and he showed 88. Turn 8 river 2...gg me.

This one was funny as well:

Some other big pots were mostly due to cold decks....KK vs AA two times and QQ vs KK one time. And offcourse the set over set 77 vs AA.

Then one hand that could be called tilt, although I doubt he would call with AJ/AQ here (thats what I thought he had).

My goal is getting closer.....

On the 1st of november I stated my goal for the 15th of december as follows:

"So that $25,000 will be my goal for 15 december. It will be a though goal, but it should be achievable, at least with all the bonuses and rakeback I receive now."

And although I'm not playing as much hours as some other months I'm really close in reaching this goal. My second monitor for playing 8 tables on stars is really paying me off. Since I bought it 2 weeks ago, I played 30 hours of poker and made exactly $3000 in 19,000 hands.

I believe that when you're playing poker seriously, you should really have at least one 20 inch flatscreen. It is so important to have a good set-up and no overlap that you will earn it back in just a few days. I bought both of my monitors for less then $500 in total and I think that shouldn't be a big problem for someone playing NL100.
So for those players on NL100 that are still staring to their 17 inch CRT monitor.....go buy some real stuff, it will earn you so much more money then it will cost you.

On to some poker....after 8-tabling NL100 for 16,000 hands I today decided to do some 8-tabling on NL200. I must say that there are some really tough players on NL200 on stars, but as everywhere it's also full of fish, but I must say that NL200 on stars is the toughest competition I've seen.

Winning account on Stars

It's time for an update again. This week I decide to try to play some poker on stars. Because I bought an extra screen I can now easily 8-table and Pokerstars is THE place to multi-table. The software is excellent, you have a timebank and are allowed to open up 12 tables at once.

Because I didn't have any data on the players there and also no experience 8-tabling I just started at NL100. And it's just amazing how many nice hands you get in one hour when 8-tabling. On average I played 750 hands per hour on Stars. This means that you get QQ/KK or AA once every 6 minutes! So you constantly have the feeling that you're running hot.

While I thought that I was running good on Party with 14 PTB/100 over 7,000 hands. On stars its even better with 16 PTBB/100 over 4,500 hands. The sample size is pretty small offcourse but it feels like I'm printing money at the moment. Because the big difference is in the multi-table ratio which is 2 times higher then at party, my hourly rate at Stars is $192. in comparison with $100 at Party (only on NL100).

I'm still in doubt what to do the next weeks. I'm way overrolled for NL100 (222 but-ins at the moment...), but as long as my winrate stays above 10 I'm earning at least $150 an hour with no stress and very little variance (% of BR wise).
So I might try to reach my goal (25K) here and then after my week off I will re-evaluate. I know it sounds nitty, and I will move up to NL400 again soon, but it's just to easy money at the moment.

I'm just gonna post some random big hands (mostly standard hands):

Strategy - 3-betting pre-flop

As promised in my previous post I want to write something about strategy and 3-betting seems like a nice subject as it so important when moving up. When 3-betting or calling 3-bets there are some things to keep in mind:

* Who is the PFR/3-better - someone who raises 15-17% of his hands is not only 3-betting with AA/KK/AK, but someone who raises only 8% is probably only doing it with QQ+/AK.This is also an important factor when making a 3bet.

* Position - Someone who raises UTG has offcourse a much smaller range then someone who raised from the button. Most 3-betting is in the typical blinds-steals. Keep in mind that ranges are very wide here, for both raising and 3-betting from SB/BB.

* Stacksize - Especially when calling 3bets with holdings that have implied odds (PP's, SC's)it is important that you both have at least a buy-in. Also be careful with 3-betting shortieswith marginal cards.

* Image - when your 3-betting a lot, people get angry and will play back on you when they think your full of it. Keep this in mind when players are pushing all-in for example, they are probably not doing this with AA/KK only and so your calling range should increase.

Some practical tips:

* I don't like to call 3-bets with hands like AQ/KQ and even AK. I rather fold them or make a 4-bet against an agressive TAG (21/17 kind of player). When 4-betting you need to keep in mind the stack sizes. For example: When stacks sizes are $100 and I open with AK to $3,5 UTG and the BB makes it $11, I usually make it $27 or something like that, that gives me a chanceto fold when he pushes, but he also knows that when he calls, he plays for stacks, so hiscalling range is very small (QQ+/AK, in general). When you have position on the 3-better, for example in blind wars on the button, I callwith a lot more hands like T9s for example if stacks are deep enough.

* The size of a re-raise is also important, you always see a lot of players make mini re-raises.
This is offcourse never good. My rule of the tumb for 3-betting is always:3 times raiser + 1 BB if there is only one raiser. And 4 times raiser + 1 BB when there isa raiser and a caller behind.

So thats it for now. I hope that some people can learn something from it. I think that this advice is mostly applicable for NL100+, because at lower levels you don't see that much 3-betting and when you do see it, its almost always AA/KK and at NL200 you might see TT/T9s as well, so that makes a big difference in play.

Running hot

Yesterday evening I had a another sick run. Because I had been drinken some beer I decided to play NL100 and some NL200 only. But the players were absolutely awful. I don't know what it is the last days, but it seems that all the solid TAG's are gone. I played 6 tabels and there was not one single player who I knew as a regular. Just a lot of players throwing away money.

So I started not so good, being down $250 pretty quick, but I ended up well over $800 in profit....in just 3 hours on 5 tables NL100 and 1 NL200.
At the moment my winrate at NL100 for november, over about 7,000 hands is 15 PTBB/100.
As 6-tabling on NL100 is very easy, I make about $150 an hour on NL100.
So if the games at NL100 stay as soft as they are now, I might do some more 6-tabling there.

My worst hand ever....

and it's not even close...
I almost feel ashamed to show you the worst hand I played in a while.
I don't have the exact HH here, but it still remember it, because it was so bad.

The player in the hand is a bad one. He limps a lot and only raises about 6% of his hands (big pairs and AK/AQ). His stats are about 45/6/1. So he is the kind of player who likes to limp and suited ace/king and other paint cards like JTo. He also goes to showdown way to much, which means he calls to much and is probably not that agressive.

Loose passive fish bets [$20] > he instantly betted the pot, which looked liked a bluff or a missed check raise on the flop, he also could have a weaker K.
PayStation4 calls [$20] > I make the call, and I think that is the only possibility here
** Dealing River ** [ 6s ] > pot = $ 60 > Now also a 4 (44 beats me)
Loose passive fish bets [$60] > again he betted the pot fairly quickly and as he limped pre-flop it should be clear now that he either has a set or the straight, cause 22-66 are all very likely holdings for him here
PayStation4 calls [$60] > Here you see one of the most stupid calls ever.....I seriously don't know what I thought I could beat here (KJ....) and I knew exactly what he had (22-66), but still I called because he was such a fish.

Lucky for me this was my only real mistake from yesterday so I still ended with a profit of about $350, but somehow this hand keeps going through my mind, so hopefully now I can move one again.
Another nice hand from yesterday was were I got it all-in preflop with KK and was up against A9o.....No Ace on the board and I took down a nice $400 pot, but the funny thing was that his name was something like Markbiggestfishever. How helpful names can be sometimes.....

I also noticed that a lot of people (at least more then I expected) are reading this blog and I'm planning on writing some (possibly) interesting strategy thing again. But I'd like to have some input of everyone reading this about what I can write something. So please let me know.

An amazing comeback and some coaching

Yesterday was one of the craziest sessions I've ever had.
In the morning I lost $800 on NL200 in less then 1500 hands. No spectacular pots at all, but just losing money all over the place.

Then in the afternoon I started with teaching someone (Ruben) to play some 6max. He will start at NL25 with a BR of about $550 and hopefully we can make it to NL100.
The first 2 hour session went very well. He played (with offcourse some help from me) about 180 hands and won about $65 (+/- 70 PTBB/100 ;-))which was a 10% increase of his bankroll which is a great start.

Then in the evening I wanted to make my $800 back, but again it started bad and I was down $250 pretty quickly. But thanks to my great table selection I found a huge fish, with lots of money (about $500 at that time). He also turned out to be amazingly lucky (not against me luckily). So I was winning lots of money there and this big fish was hitting the most amazing suck-outs I've ever seen against everyone except me(details will follow). So Within 2,5 hours we both had $1200 at that table.

At that time his luck was over and unfortunalety I didn't hit much against him anymore (the others did), so in the next 1,5 hour he lost his entire stack and I ended up at $1404 (which is a new record for me).

So at the end of the day I finished up $50 after being down to about $1150.

A very well played hand

Its time for a very short update on my progress. I'm in Italy at the moment and therefore playing very little lately and when I played it was on my laptop without PT. As I always move down when playing on a laptop, I played NL100. Things are going very well again. As I don't have PT available at the moment I don't know my exact stats, but at NL100 I must be well over 20 PTBB/100. Its only about 2,500 hands so a very small sample, but I'm playing great, even without PT stats.
One hand I like to show, is one hand which I tink I played perfect.

New update

After my last update I played about 3,500 hands with mixed results.
During the weekend I took a shot at NL400 and again was very unlucky.
I flopped a straight when I called raise with 87s(spades). The board was 569 with 2 diamonds. The PRF check/raised me and I made it $150 to go with a 4-bet, which he pushed all-in.
Offcourse he was on a draw with AdQd and hit his flush on the river. After that I won about $200 back, but still my shots on NL400 are very unlucky.

Then on monday I had a very strange session. I lost about $550 in about an hour on NL200. I lost with a flopped straight and a full house. Then at the end of the evening I decided to play some NL100 and I won $300 back in less then an hour. Yesterday was also a very good evenening which made me around $450. So all together I'm back at my all time high.

I also made a demo video for pokernews, and I'm plannig on making some more with probably some commentary. So if you guys (or girls) are interested on how I'm playing please visit Pokernews and download the video.

Closing October + Goals November

I'm happy October is over. It was not a great month for me.
Although I received a lot of money from bonuses (about $1150), I didn't do good in cash games. I actually lost some money on NL100 and won a little more then 3 PTBB/100 @ NL200.

Hands played in october ~35,000
Won in cash games ~$1720
Amount lost in tourney ~$110
Bonus received: $1,150
BR beginning of september: $15,040
Current BR : ~$17,800
Pending Full Tilt bonus $420

For November I'm gonna set my goals on 15 December. That's the day I will go to New York with my girlfriend. I paid for this trip when I reached my $10,000 BR and that day I told my self that I would aim for a $25,000 BR before NY.
So that $25,000 will be my goal for 15 december. It will be a though goal, but it should be achievable, at least with all the bonuses and rakeback I receive now.
In NY I'm gonna spend a lot of $$$, so I hope to keep my roll over 20K at the end of the year ;-)

I also decided that I really should stop playing NL100. My bankroll is far to big for it and I notice that I'm not playing my best game therefor. So I will only play NL100 when there is some real big fish with at least a whole buy-in, for the rest I will concentrate on NL200 and hopefully later on NL400.

New PSP in half an hour.....

Every downswing is followed by an upswing.
Yesterday I again found out about that. As told in my previous post I had a terrible downswing (-$1500 on NL100 and NL200). So yesterday I decided to buy myself a nice gadget to remember why I'm playing poker and for my birtday (which is today). So I bought a white PSP.
So if anybody knows some nice games....please tell me.

After that I decided to play some poker for 2,5 hours (about 850 hands) and I won more then $1 per hand! I ended up winning $853 which is about 40 PTBB/100....
Offcourse this is not sustainable at all, but for the moment it was sweet!
So I'm back on track and I will at least get one of my goals (I'm 4,5 PTBB/100 @ NL200 over 15,000 hands).

Hands played in october ~33,000
Won in cash games ~$1850

I hate October

October so far has gone terrible for me (except for one amazing good session).
On Party I've lost over $1500 in the past 2 weeks. Especially on NL100 I'm losing.
At first I thought it was because of the US-fish that left, but the last few days I'm seeing the usual tables with at least 3 fishes on it. But for some reason I keep losing al the big pots against them.
Offcourse I'm not playing my best poker, but still nothing is more frustating then losing against terrible players.
I'm just gonna post some hands that frustated me the most (not all bad beats):

This first hand is against a very weak/passive player and there's nothing I can do here, just a cold deck...

I need help...

During a bad friday night session (lost $700) I suddenly had the feeling that my game was not improving anymore and that I was playing to predictable. A feeling a lot of people probably have during bad sessions, but this time I felt I had to do something about it.

So I decided to post a scream for help on my blog (as I'm doing now). I'm looking for some other players who are regularly playing at least NL100, but NL200/NL400 (6max)would be better, to review some sessions with. I always felt that that's the best way to improve your game, so I'm hoping someone can 'help' me out and likes to review some sessions and offcourse I'm willing to review yours as well if you want to.

I'm already trying to start it up with Koen (http://claudiusonline.blogspot.com/)
, but I'd like to find some more experienced player as well (people with over 100K hands).

Taking shots at NL400

Yestday after a long grinding session at NL100, where I fought my way back from -$500 to +$500 I decided to take a shot at NL400. And as always when moving up it is very hard to adjust to the new betting sizes.

For example, when you re-raise a limper and a raiser with AK, you make a bet of like $12 at NL100 or $25 at NL200, but yesterday I was playing at NL400 and there were 2 limpers and one raise to $24.....so I found AK in the SB and decided to make it $66 to make it look a little bit more scary. But the raiser called and the pot was like $140 to start with (oops). Compare this to $35 on NL100 and it looks a lot better.
Flop comes QJ4 (rainbow). Ok so I have a gutshot...and make a 'standard' c-bet of $100. He pushes all-in and I have to fold....nice lesson learned.
So my shot at NL400 ended in losing $400 in like 80 hands or so.

I'm now planning to take a real shot at NL400 when my bankroll is at $20,000. I will set a stop-loss at 5 buy-ins ($2000) and will play 2 tables of NL400 and 2 tables of NL200.

I'm also still playing on Party as I found out that there are still a lot of bad players at NL100 and NL200. I also don't like the overlap that I have when I 4-table at Full tilt. At Party its very easy to 6 table with the resizable screens.
But I'm planning on playing more at Full tilt (screen name: maurice1979) as I have a bonus outstanding and some rakeback which should compensate for the better(?) players and less tables I will be playing.

Amazing session thanks to huge donk

Today I had my best session ever. This time I catched a lot of cards and only got one bad beat where I lost with a set to someone who cathed trips on the turn and quads on the river with his jacks.
But the funniest thing was a huge donk on one of my tables. He was at the table for over 3 hours and lost well over $1000. At the end of that session when he left I had almost $1400 at that table.

Some fun hands for those who think NL200 is difficult (no comments needed):

Quick update - Party > Full tilt

I finished my reload bonus on Party which was a nice $200 for 2 sessions of play.
Since the US players left Party the level op play has increased a lot.
There a lot less fish and it's impossible to find tables without at least 2 other good players at NL200. SO I decided to try Full tilt as they have a nice reload bonus up to $500 (if you deposit $1000 via Neteller).
Another nice thing about Full tilt is that I have a rakeback account there on which I receive 27% of my rake back. And as I'm paying about 3 to 4K rake a month this could be a nice extra $1000 a month.

Lost $800 in 2 days....

The last two days have been terrible. Wednesday I was just totally card dead and hit nothing at all and I was down $350. Yesterday it was even worse and I dropped another $450. But this time I got some cards, but players (read: donks) sucked out on me like everytime. The times I got AA, I lost to a set (2 times), which offcourse is bad play by me or it was folded around.

Some stats for october

After I made a new database in pokertracker I can finally show some october results.
First of all, they are terrible. After I good start I'm totally card dead. I'm losing on half of my pocket pairs (normally I make profit on all of them). I'm even losing money with KK. So I have good hope for the rest of october.

Hand played in October: 14,004
NL 100: 7,373 -/- $232,18 (-/- 1,57 PTBB/100)
NL 200: 6,631 + $1,070,43 (+ 4,05 PTBB/100)
Total: + $848,25

Pokertracker

As mentioned in one of my earlier posts I have problems with Pokertracker at the moment. When it starts importing hands it gives an error message within 5 minutes. I contacted them and they told me that probably my access database is full.

As a solution I can start a new database or convert my database to some sort of SQL format in which the size of the database has no maximum (in access there is a maximum). I've never hear of this problem from anyone yet so I'm really suprised that it happened to me. I probably have around 250,000 hands in my database which is that much I thought....If anyone knows how to solve this problem the best, I would be very happy.

So the last days I played some 4-tabling sessions, but without pokertracker it is so much more difficult for me. I know realize that my play was based a lot on pokertracker stats. By not having the stats abailable I feel that I made some laydowns/big calls that I would not have made with the stats available.
Offcourse I try to get reads and make notes, but those stats are so much more valuable to me.

So for those who don't use it yet.....BUY IT!!

I hate losing big pots to donks

Yesterday I played a nice session again. At the end I was up about $400 and then this hand came up....
Some background first. The player in the small blind is some 40 VPIP donk who thinks he invented this game. I keep stealing the blinds from the button when its folded to me and he doesn't like that at all as he told me twice before in the chat.
Some hands ago I raised it with 86s and he raises to about $23 and I (offcourse) fold. He shows 87o and keep telling me to stop stealing his blinds.
After that he keeps calling me very light in the blinds with hands like Q9s and T6s.
Then this hand happens (note that we are 3 buy-ins deep):

After this hand the guy offcourse starts telling me how I overplayed my jacks and that he had me dominated on the flop.
And offcourse against a normal player I would NEVER do this, but against him without thinking for a second.

After all he was the guy who played his hand really horrible. Calling such a big raise pre-flop out of position with AQ is just the worst thing that u could do. And pushing that flop was even worser as my range was about JJ+ AK and he almost had no fold equity there. JJ was about the best he could hope for, giving him a 25% change of winning the pot. Well done sir!

Biggest profitmaker(s) - Strategy

Today I want to tell something about what I think is one of my biggest contributions to my winrate. First of all, table selection. As told before Sixth Sense is a great tool for this. Sometimes I see tables were there are 4 good (20/13/3) players battling with each other. This offcourse is not gonne make you any profit in the long run.

I always look for tables with some high VPIP players with some big stacks and offcours not too many good players. Most of the time it is pretty easy to find 6 of them at Party. When the fish is broke or goes away and I'm left with just tight players, I leave and find a better table. At this low stakes there is just so much fish that it is just stupid to playagainst only TAG's...

The second thing that is very important and which is sometimes a bit more difficult is changeyour play when facing different opponents.Generally I think you can divide palyers in the following groups:

Good TAG players / Bad Loose player
Bigstacks / Shortstacks
Agressive / Passive
Calling stations / 'Bluffable' players

My playing style against all those different players is totally different. For example the Continuation bet, I probably am C-betting a lot more against TAG's,Bigstacks, Passive players and bluffable players then I will do this against the other half.

A second example may be when I hold AK on a K97 board and my flop bet gets raised. Against a Bad/loose player or shortstack I will probably put all my money in, but against a TAG or a passive player I might even fold here if I think I'm up against a set for example.

Another example is playing draws against these different players. I might raise a nut flushdraw against TAG's/ big stacks/ passive and bluffable players, but against the other half you have to be careful with that because you have a lot less Folding equity and that's whatis it all about when raising draws.

These are just a few examples of my different styles against different players. Maybe later I can explain this with some HH's as well.

New month, new goals

Since the last update I haven't been playing much. I was happy to have reached my bankroll goal and decided to take break for a few days. I played a lot the last month (40,000 hands) and this month I will probably play not that much. My winrate over september was far from good ( about 1,5 PTBB/100).

So for October I hope to play less hands, but make more profit ;-)
I need to get my winrate up (especially on NL200) before I want to move up to NL400.
I know I have the bankroll to play NL400, but I think it is more important that you're able to crush the level below for at least 4 ptbb/100 and this is not yet the case for NL200.

Goals October:

Play 30,000 hands of which at least 20,000 at NL200
Winrate for NL200 @ 4 PTBB/100
Bankroll end October $19,000
Post more hands on blog!

With less then two days ago, I reached my bankroll goal for the end of september.
Altough it wasn't through cashgames I'm still pretty happy with it.
Yesterday I played the $6 rebuy on party with >1000 players and I became second.
I won about $1200. I also played some NL100 and NL200 which went very well.
At the end I had over $1000 at one table, shich also was a milestone for me.
Hopefully later I can post some key hands from the tourney.

losing my biggest pot ever (almost $1000).
Still in poker you shouldn't always look at the results. As long as your decessions are correct the results don't really matter in the short term. So last night I played perfect poker for about 2,5 hours. Even with losing this huge pot, I still ended up about $250 in the plus.

Below is the big hand I'm talking about. The other player in the hand is at the table for about an hour on the table and won 2 big pots with rag cards in which he didn't play very well.
I also won one nice pot of about $100 from him were he tried to bluff me on the river on a K9942 board with QJo. So I didn't respect his play much and knew that he was capable of big overbets bluff.

AArbitrage calls [$12].
** Dealing Flop ** [ Jh, Ah, 8h ] >> dangerous flop, but I always try to play a set fast on such a board. The ace of hearts on the board makes it more unlikely that someone holds the flush
IAMINTROUBLE bets [$24]. >> A c-bet which is a bit on the low side, which convinces me that he is not that strong
PayStation4 raises [$75]. >> I raise a bit to low I think, but at least I will know with this raise if the other 2 players have anything
daniel911222 folds.
AArbitrage folds.
IAMINTROUBLE calls [$51]. >> His flat call her shows me that he hasn't AA for sure, because he would certainly be 4-betting that here. I put him on AxKh most likely.
** Dealing Turn ** [ Kd ]
IAMINTROUBLE is all-In [$421.59] >> He instantly betted all-in on this turn, which isn't a sign of strength, because then he would want me to call en this is not an easy call at all offcourse, so AxKh looks even more likely now but the hand I'm scared for is KxKh obviously.
PayStation4 is all-In [$388.13] >> I called pretty quick here, because I thought his bet was weak and I saw him doing something similiar before with nothing. The only hand that could beat me that he could have here was KK, for the rest of the possible hand he had like 10-13 outs I would say (He had one heart for sure I thought)
** Dealing River ** [ Ts ] >> He hits one his 13 outs and I'm down to zero.....
IAMINTROUBLE shows [ Qd, Qh ] a straight, ten to ace.
PayStation4 doesn't show [ Jd, Jc ] three of a kind, jacks.
The time at which hand ended:Sep 25 2006 17:45 ET IAMINTROUBLE wins $33.46 from side pot #1 with a straight, ten to ace. IAMINTROUBLE wins $978.76 from the main pot with a straight, ten to ace

After the hand I wasn't really upset or something, I just went on and played the same good poker and was happy with my good call here. I think that's one of the most important things when playing on a certain limit, if you can't handle a 2,5 buy-in loss in like 1 hand you're probably playing above your comfort level and should move down.

I also promised some people on pokernews to show some other interesting hands. First some hands with AK/AQ/KQ as PRF which missed the flop and where the c-bet gets called. I don't fire that much second barrels when I get called with AK, although there offcourse times I do.
For example when somebody is floating a lot with PP or when a possible scare card hits (overcard to board for example).
Here are 2 examples of AK hands that missed the flop.

I also promised to post some SB/BB hands. This is always a difficult position to play and a lot of players play to loose from the blinds and are calling to much instead of raising/folding.
