Final 2007 update

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates recently, but I hope to compensate it with this somewhat longer then normal update.
I was kind of poker tired, so I just spend my poker time into effective playing hours.

2007
In 2007 I managed to put in 1314 poker hours, which is about 110 hours a month. I know it doesnt sound much (normal job here is about 168 hours a month), but I found out that it's not good for my game and health to play 8 hours every day.

So looking back at my goals in the beginning of the year I did not manage to play 1 million hands (my guess is around 750K hands), but I managed to reach my earned money goal with a very wide margin (goal was $120,000).

The best thing about this year was that my monthly income was very stable, better then I ever would have expected. All my months were $12K+ and my worst month was exactly half of my best month....so do some calculations and you know the 2007 results. I know people would like to see a year graph, but I have 5 PT databases so making one graph would cost me some photoshop time and it's probably a very boring (but nice) upwards sloping line.

2008

I would love to put some goals here for 2008, but I'll have to say that I'm not exactly sure what they will be. I don't know if I'm capable of putting another 100 hours a month of grinding NL400/NL600/NL1000. I'm now at a point were I could take the step from medium stakes to the higer stakes (NL1000+), but it's not just a small change in games. I should change my schedule for example, or play on different sites.
I know a lot of players get a kick from competing with the best and are action junkies, but I'm different in that.
Offcourse I like to play with good/better players some of the time, because it makes the game so much more interesting, but I'm not really an 'ego' player who always wants be the best and outplay others.

This was it for now, hope to update my blog more recently in the new year.
Finally I want to thank everybody for reading and wish everyone a happy new year.

Playing a flushdraw againt a donk.....

Swingy start of the month

December has started kind of swingy. Had one session where I lost over 7 buy-ins in less then 2 hours. During this period I didn't win one single pot bigger then 75BB and lost money with all my big pairs.... Im still up over $5K so not much to worry.
Don't have time for to analyse hands, so I'm just posting some fun ones.

Hand against a regular who has a tilt problem...

Monthly salary in 5 minutes....

....thanks to some donk on tilt....
Just finished a nice session with 2 NL1000 tables. On both tables 2 incredible donks were sitting, who probably had been quite lucky, cause one of them build his stack up to $5K. But as usual when this happens, the table fills up with regulars.
So we were sitting with 4 tough players, 1 shortstack and the donk (70/13/2). Luckily I had position on all regulars and had the donk to my left.

The hands below are his last 3 pots, which took place in less then 5 minutes....
Obviously AQs in the last hand is the nuts at that moment with a donk on complete tilt.

Results + I'm a nit part 2

First the the results of the previous hand.
One of the reasons I folded was because of the player left after me, but after thinking it through he probably never checks turn and river with a better hand then mine. As far as raminator goes I put him on JJ/QQ or a missed draw and as he's not that agressive normally, folding isn't that bad.

This is a hand I played today. Somehow I had a feeling after his check on the flop (timing of his check) that he hit this flop hard. Normally I would never fold here against a player like him, but somehow I almost folded without much thought and showed my aces and he was kind enough to show his set of sevens...

November update

I havent been playing so much this month (about 43K hands so far), but the results are a little bit above average. Even though my MT-ratio dropped below 6 (had it around 7 for a while), my hourly rate increased to about $175 the last 3 months. So I'm happy with that.
On to an interesting hand, I'm curious if people would call here on the river...

I'm a nit...

In the hand below I almost folded the flop with top 2. But I decided to call and see a turn (I had 4 outs at least...). It also clearly shows why it's wrong to play like he does. His range is so small here, that it's very easy to put him on 22.
For example if he raises pre-flop and I decide to call here in the BB with AJo (which is not a very good play, by the way) I'm probably stacking off here like 90% of the time.
So I folded the turn and showed and from his chat afterwards, I think I was right here, although you never can be sure offcourse.

Strange HU hand

This hand I played against a very agressive and crazy swede.
He's not a donk, but takes some very weird lines all the time and is capable of big bluffs and calls. He also likes to take down every (big) pot, especially HU.
For example, he will always bluff the river when he has no showdown value.

EverestPoker Game #2372955075: Table Nassau-6 - $3.00/$6.00 - No Limit Hold'em - 23:54:49 - 2007/11/15
Seat 5: BldZwtTrn ($661.90)

Dealt to BldZwtTrn[Ks Jh]
BldZwtTrn raises to $18.00
Cheeseman87 raises to $60.00
BldZwtTrn calls $42.00

He is very agressive pre-flop (close to 55/46/3 or something, HU offcourse), so folding KJo with position is not really an option. He re-raises worse kings/jacks here.

*** FLOP *** [4d 5c Jc]
Cheeseman87 checks
BldZwtTrn checks

His check on this flop suprised me a little, because he likes to c-bet a lot of flops. I've seen him do this before with a mediocre hand, so I'm checking behind, he bets a draw/strong hand/air almost always here.

*** TURN *** [4d 5c Jc] [9c]
Cheeseman87 bets $90.00
BldZwtTrn calls $90.00

Im not sure if I played this turn correct here. Because raising is a good option as well here, especially since he is capable of calling a raise with worse then my hand.

*** RIVER *** [4d 5c Jc 9c] [As]
Cheeseman87 bets $145.00
BldZwtTrn raises to $511.90 and is all-in
Cheeseman87 calls $305.00 and is all-in

It didn't suprise me that he was betting this river. But it looked like a bluff or value bet with an ace to me, so I decided to push him off his one pair hand.
I was pretty sure he didn't have a flush/trips, but something like AT at best.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
BldZwtTrn shows [Ks Jh]
Cheeseman87 shows [Tc Ts]

Offcourse I was kind of suprised by his call here, but in retrospect, he probably thinks/knows that I never have a flush/trips here and that I'm probaly calling with my TP/2pair hands and not turn them into a bluff on the river, so then it must be a bluff to him (KcQx for example).

*** SUMMARY ***
Board: [4d 5c Jc 9c As]
BldZwtTrn collects $1,199.00

I know some other players played against this guy as well and like to hear some opinions on turn/river play.

FPS-machines

Lately there a lot more players who try to play a more LAGgy style instead of the standard 20/17/3 TAG style. Some can do this profitable, but most are just not good enough and would make a lot more just by playing kind of straight forward.
But I love those FPS machines with stats of 29/28/6 who try to outplay you every hand and call down way to light.

One example is the player in the hands below, his stats are close to 31/30/6 and he is a player who doesn't want to give up easily and calls down way too light.

Doesn't want a split pot here...

Monsterdraw 200BB+ deep

This a hand against a player with which I played the most hands the last few months. We've played somewhere around 15K hands against each other in 2 months.
When making a bluff it's very important to know your opponent (and that your opponent knows you!) and take a line that you would take with strong hands as well.
The hand below is a good example:

EverestPoker Game #2334824004: Table Bamako-2 - $2.00/$4.00 - No Limit Hold'em - 12:07:10 - 2007/11/08

This is offcourse a monster flop for me. And I'm happy to get in on this flop. I decide to bet out. Check-raising is an option here as well, but I don't think he is stacking off here for 200BB with an overpair, so I think there is more value in betting then CRing.

RiverRider folds
JopieMan calls $40.00

He just calls, so I'm pretty sure he has a one pair hand, most likely 88-AA. With AA/KK a little bit more unlikely cause he would raise them a lot of the time.

As I'm very sure that my hand is not the best here, I have to bet again. I'm basically repping a set now.

Overagressive HU donkey

Today I played a HU game on NL600 against a complete donkey (74/61/3), but an agressive one.
He raised every hand on the button and almost never folded to re-raises. This is offcourse very expoitable, but when you're complety card dead and never get big hands pre-flop it can be very frustrating to play against. We played for about an hour and I won about $1000 off him, but it was a rollercoaster ride to get it.

HU hand

Posting one hand from a nice HU session yesterday. I was playing a regular who's is pretty bad and thinks I'm a donk (which is always nice). He's the guy who takes a HU session as a personal fight and I always love those games, cause it's very easy to get them on tilt just by saying some things in the chat.

Played him for about an hour on 2 tables and won a little more then 5 buy-ins off him. During this hand he still was playing kind of normal (never ever folding for re-raises pre-flop).

Fun experiment

Inspired by CTS cardrunners video I did a little experiment yesterday on NL100.
To improve my game and experience a little with LAG play I started with raising every hand that was folded to me on the CO and BTN and when there was a full stack limper in UTG or UTG+1.
Somehow my stealing still was only 80% but this was probably due to some times I forget to raise when it was 4-handed (was playing some normal higher stake tables as well).

The other players on the tabel didn't seem to notice it at all, I think I got repopped from the blinds 2 or 3 times.
Offcourse this works best against full stack/tight players. By doing this you're overall stats are very laggy (close to 35/28/3) as well and people also think you're playing crazy postflop and OOP, which offcourse is not true.

Bad players also try to trap you in the wrong way (slowplaying big pairs), the next hand is a good example:

He almost instant calls my raise. This looked to me like a 88-JJ hand or some sort of draw. As we're playing 200BB deep he could easily be calling here with draws.

I didn't like this King on the turn. It kills my action versus a lot of his hands.
I really was in doubt here between betting and check/calling. With 100BB CRing would be an option, but I don't like it here with 200BB, because he isn't calling with draws anymore then.
Betting is good to let draws pay, but folds out hands like JJ probably.
In retrospect, I think betting is better here and probably calling a shove by him, cause there is just one hand that I'm afraid of (KK) and he could be pushing some (combo)draws on this turn.

Hand against Nederbelg

Another upswing...

The last few days I've been playing some big pots against nederbelg (Marc Naalden as far as I know). He plays a really loose agressive style (32/25/3). It always takes some time to adapt to those players, but when you have a feeling of how they're playing and how they value their hands it can be really profitable to have them at your table. A good example is the hand below.

This is offcourse a good flop for my hand. Nederbelg is donking a lot of flops and I've seen him doing this with mediocre hands and drawing hands. His bet here was almost instant and my read was that a mediocre hand (Kx) was far more likely then 22/44. So I decided to call instead of raise, because he would probably fold a lot of hands to a raise/push (Kx, non-nutflushdraws).

*** TURN *** [2s 4h Ks] [6h]
nederbelg checks
BldZwtTrn bets $150.00
nederbelg calls $150.00

When he checks this turn, I'll have to bet here (2 flushdraws on board), the size doesn't really matter, because I'm going nowhere here. I decide to make it 150 to give hem some chance to push a flushdraw, although he doesn't have fold equity here, pushing a draw always feels better then calling an all-in (he has 310 left in total, pot is ~220)

*** RIVER *** [2s 4h Ks 6h] [2d]
nederbelg checks
BldZwtTrn bets $160.00
nederbelg calls $160.00 and is all-in

This is a perfect river card for me and when he checks, I'm close to 100% sure that I've the best hand, so I push the last $160 and he feels committed to call with his K5s.

A good triple barrel and end of break even swing?

Hopefully my break-even/down swing has ended with a nice session yesterday. It probably looks like I took a shot at NL2000 but it was a 4-tabling session with 2 NL600 tables and 2 NL400 tables. I was just running and playing insane hot and won like 8 buy-ins in less then 2 hours.

The hand below is the perfect example of a situation were triple barreling works a lot of the time. The board and opponent are perfect for this.

He calls my CO raise from the BB and when a pre-flop agressive player does this, it's a small PP a lot of the time. As far as queens go, the only possibilities are KQ/QJ and as I have one king and he is also re-raising KQ some percentage of the time the chance on KQ is a lot smaller.

Just like the hand from yesterday this is a board where I expect a call from every PP on my c-bet and therefore I'm probably firing about any turn.
His range for C/C this flop is probably 33-88 (99+ re-raise pre-flop) and QJ/KQ (AQ+ re-raise pre-flop)

*** TURN *** [2s Qh 2c] [4s]
Mickey__Knox checks
BldZwtTrn bets $48.00
Mickey__Knox calls $48.00

This 4 doesn't change the board at all. It only helps one hand in his range (44) and I expect him to fold a lot of his hands when I bet here.
When he calls I think his range is 55-88 and KQ/QJ.

*** RIVER *** [2s Qh 2c 4s] [Th]
Mickey__Knox checks
BldZwtTrn bets $122.00

This is a great river card to make a triple barrel. It is a card that probably never helps him (QT is a very small chance) and he knows that when I'm betting 3 streets for value here the worst hand I will be doing this with is probably AQ/KQ. So when I bet here, he only beats a bluff.
And his problem is that his cards are pretty much face-up, because on this board and with checking 3 streets out of position he never has a better hand then KQ here.

A triple barrel gone wrong...

The hand below is a hand that probably makes me look like a donkey, but for me it felt like a good board to triple barrel. Villian in the hand is a player that I play a lot with and who also is a pro.

The turn brings an ace. I don't think he has an ace here very often, maybe A9, but more likely 66-88 or TT-JJ. I could offcourse have an ace here, but I'm not sure if he thinks I'm betting an ace here a lot of the time. The problem for him is that I could be representing the ace with a better hand then his pair. So that's why I'm still betting here.

When he checks the river again I'm very sure that he doesn't have a big hand here. I put him on A9 at best and he still has a difficult call, cause I could have AK/AA/KK/99 here and he basically only beats a bluff, because I'm not shoving AQo for value here probably.

I was playing some NL200 again yesterday because there were not enough tables of 400/600 available and again I wasn't very lucky.

What did I do wrong to the ladies?

First of all sorry for the lack of updates recently.
October so far has been pretty bad. I'm running so bad lately....probably as bad as I was running hot 2 weeks ago. Today for example I really played very well, but I managed to end 2K down after being up 3,5K!
I lost 5 pre-flop all-ins in 30 minutes in which I was a favorite in all situations.

Probably did something wrong to the ladies, because it's really sick how unlucky I run with those. 3 times I lost with QQ vs AK pre-flop allin. 1 time I lost with topset vs flush and one time with QQ vs AA. Also lost with AA vs KK pre-flop all-in.
Obviously I didn't win one single big pot with the big pairs.

So enough whining for today. The hand below is an example of a hand where a lot of the players probably miss value by checking behind on the river. Betting here on the river, especially against a somewhat LAGgy player, should be standard, because it disguises your hand more and makes you tougher to play. Villian probably had something like JT and thought I had a K or a hand without showdown value.

Running insane hot....

After my last post where I had one table where I got pretty cold decked, I had the exact opposite today. Was running insanely hot at one NL600 table. I build my stack up from $600 to around $4100 in just 95 hands. During this hands I made two suckouts when I won with AKs vs KK pre-flop all-in for 100BB and versus a complete donk (he played every single hand) where I rivered a boat versus his flush.
Ended the session up $4,5K which is my best session ever (2,5 hours).

One hand that I like to analyze is an AA hand versus a decent opponent.

Again flop is standard and I get one call from a decent TAG out of the blinds.
The most likely holding I put him on is some mediocre hand like Tx/77/67.
The only draw hand he could have is 87, but I expect him to be more agressive with it most of the time, just like he would be with 66/55/65.

*** TURN *** [Th 5c 6s] [2s]
JopieMan checks
BldZwtTrn checks

Most players would probably fire again here. But after his check here I think that 66/55/65 are very unlikely, so I'm pretty sure he's having some mediocre one pair hand and decide to check behind, because the chance that he will call a river bet with his mediocre hand is probably bigger then a turn bet.

*** RIVER *** [Th 5c 6s 2s] [Js]

Turned out he had T9 and I was kind of suprised by his riverbet, I think it's a very strange bet. If it's a value bet, it's a very very thin one, cause he's only representing 87 and hoping for a call by 99/88/77. If it's a bluff, I don't get it either, cause what kind of better hands I'm a folding here (QT/KT maybe).

Bluffing in HU

As I told yesterdag bluffing is a lot more important in HU then in any other game. I even think that in FR it's possible to get away as a winning player without much bluffing at all (so called set-mining).
One example of a bluff in a HU game against a decent player is the following hand:

My hand is not important at all here, it's the board that counts here.
This flop is so dry that it's very difficult to hit something here.
The only hands that he could have hit hard here are 22/33 and that's about it. Sometimes maybe a very tricky AA. It's also very likely that 22/33 will slowplay the flop on this board, so then a CR here looks even more fishy, cause there are now draws.
So I think his most likely hand is something like(44-77/A3/A2/A4/54/air) or a Jx hand. But I doubt he will CR here with Jx.

So I decide to make a healthy re-raise and represent AJ or better. This way it's very hard for him to continue with any hand besides 22/33 offcourse and he folds.

Tough HU call against unknown

I'm playing more HU lately. I think it's very good training for a normal 6max game. It's very good for your bluffing skills and hand reading. In HU you can't get away with just waiting for boards that fits your cards. You have to make some big bluffs/call downs. I also like it as it's not so mechanical as 8-tabling the NL400 6 max game.
On to the hand I played today against a total unknown who bought in for full (doesn't happen a lot). This is probably the fourth hand at the table, so I have no reads at all.

Haven't post a graph with resulst for a while, so I thought it was time to show one of this summer. It's a hell of a grind as you can see, but I'm still on schedule for my 18th winning month in a row and also the 9th 10K+ winning month in a row.

Flop-a-set-ometer

Flop-a-set-ometer is a program to see how lucky your are with flopping sets and set vs set situations (www.pokerluckometer.com). I really like it and especially when running good/bad it really gives you a good impression of how good you run.
In september I'm running not so good, although I flopped more sets then expected.
But I'm runnig very unlucky in big pots. For example when flopping a set with AA or 88 (which happened 8 times for both) I actually LOST money with it.

I also got dealt aces 62 times this month (expected 82) and got into a overpair vs set situation 8 times versus 2 times set vs overpair.
Over to the hand of the day:

This AA situation is really a good example of when to fold aces.
Villian in this hand is pretty tight and not really agressive, at least nothing out of line. He runs about 21/12/2.

As some of you might know I sometimes play NL1000 as well. On those levels table selection is even more important then at lower stakes and yesterday I found a very good table. But again things didn't go very well.

My note on the player below was: Top pair is the nuts!....enough said.

High stakes poker style

Hand of today is a hand from a live homegame I played yesterday.
We are playing 0,10/0,20 with 200BB buy-ins.
Just like in HSP we have a rule that if you win with 72o/72s you will get 2BB from every player.

So on to the hand.
It's 8-handed and I'm in MP with 72o (the ten of clubs is burned). 2 limpers in front of me and I make it 1,20 to go. I get 2 callers in the blinds and the limpers join the club. So 5-way to the flop.
Flop is TdTs6d and one guy from the blinds (40 behind) makes it 3 to go.
He plays quite agressive and is someone who bets/raises his draws.
2 limpers fold and I decide to call here, because raising here doesn't make much sense with a strong hand, so if I want to bluff, I'll have to do that on the turn like I would do with a strong hand.

Turn is another 6 and he now bets 7 into a pot of 12. He has about 30 behind after this bet and I cover. The hands I put him on are some PP (most likely 77-99)/diamond draw or maybe a 6. I think he never has a ten here. I also think he will fold everything besides the 6 offcourse, because by raising I'm basically saying that I have at least JJ, so after long consideration I say all-in.

No instacall by him so I'm probably good here. Turns out he had a flushdraw and because were playing deepstacked he didt get the odds to call here (only if he knew I had 72o offcourse), but he put me on KK/QQ.
So he makes the fold and I show 72o and feel like Phil Hellmuth bluffing Mike Matusow off KK for a second with the only difference that this was a $20 pot instead of $50K.

Staking, new site and bad week

Last week was not a great week for me, pokerwise and personally.
Those things happen and I'm happy that I still made a profit even though I didn't play my A game at all.

I also finished a staking deal with a pokerfriend of mine. I think this is something I might do more in the future. It turned out to be a positive thing for both of us.
He was able to play his normal NL100 game instead of grinding his way up and I made a nice profit on my stake investment.

Secondly I started playing at a new site as well. Got a very nice deal to play there.
By playing there I generate a nice income just by playing. This way I'm able to lower my variance in my income and also have a chance of choosing between different sites when playing. I think this is becoming, more and more important as a good game selection can have a huge (positive) effect on your winrate.

No hand of the day for today but hope to start with it again next week.
Thanks for reading.

Worst day ever...

Yesterday was my worst pokerday ever. I managed to loss about 9 buy-ins in 2K hands.
I was playing bad and running bad (most 'downswings' are a combination of that).
Seems like I made the wrong decision in every single big pot, could not win a single coinflip and got rivered a bazillion times.

The hand below shows what I mean, even though this guy was a complete (passive!!) donk I still should have folded the river, but this is what happens when you run bad and play bad.

Nut draw in a re-raised pot

Yesterday I got an interesting call when I pushed the nutdraw in a re-raised pot.
I thin my play in the hand is totally standard, but I was kind of suprised about the call of my opponent who is a regular at this tables and with which I played a lot.

So he made the call with KTs. Which is about as good as 99-QQ on this board. His explanation was that I never have a king here and although this is probably true 95% of the time it's still a bad call vs my range here.

So what is my range here....well I could offcourse have the nutflushdraw (AQs/AJs and maybe ATs), or have hit a nice combodraw with some small SC's (76s, 87s, 97s, 98s). But the most scary hands for him are offcourse AA/88 and 55 (less likely probably with <90BB stacks).

So hit pot-odds are $282/$750 (he knows I'm not folding there). So that's about 38% what he needs here vs my range to make this push +EV.

Lets see how this works out in pokerstove. I decided to let 55 out, as I'm not calling 100% here with small PP. Against this range he has about 32% which is not enough to make this call +EV or he has to think that I'm on a total bluff here a lot.

So although he thinks correctly that I probably don't have a king here this still doesn't make this a call, because he is basically flipping at best, because if have the nut draw, I have an extra ace as out and if I have a lower draw I very often have a pair here as well.

Tricky play goes wrong....

In this hand, I make a tricky play against an agressive/good player.
The final all-in call was very thin, but I thought I had at least 12 outs, but I was wrong and was drawing dead.

Furthermore this month is going great again. I'm making some changes in my game again, because I had the feeling I had some leaks.
Especially on NL400 I'm running and playing hot as hell. For this month my winrate is over 14 PTBB/100 (10K hands) and over my last 25K hands I'm still over 10 PTBB/100. No way that I can maintain this, but for the moment it's fun.

Just a fun hand...

Low content today, just trying to push this donk of his weak ace, which is what I thought he had, but it turned out to be a nice value push....

KK - 4-way on drawy board

Today a difficult spot with KK. I was kind of card dead on this table and so my image at that moment was probably very tight. I got KK and opened on the CO and got 3 callers behind. The flop is one, you don't like to see in a 4-way pot. On to the hand:

EverestPoker Game #1944569830: Table Bamako-0 - $2.00/$4.00 - No Limit Hold'em - 10:39:32 - 2007/08/16

petros66 checks
BldZwtTrn bets $40.00
Obviously I have to bet here and I make it $40 which is kind of low, this should have been $50 I think because the pot is $56 here and the board is as drawy as possible.
immortal8 calls $40.00
He instantly calls my bet. This makes me think he has a mediocre hand (AT) or a drawy hand (9/XdXd).
dane76 calls $40.00
This is a guy who will call with any draw/any pair here probably
petros66 folds
*** TURN *** [7c Tc 8d] [4d]
dane76 checks
BldZwtTrn checks
The turn makes one straightdraw (unlikely one) complete and adds another flushdraw to the board. My position is kind of crap here though.
I decide to check and raise (shove) when Immortal bets, as he is agressive enough to make a bet here on the button.

*** RIVER *** [7c Tc 8d 4d] [7d]
dane76 checks
BldZwtTrn checks
This river card is good card for me although it completed a backdoor flush draw (which is unlikely here). So I'm about 90% sure I have the best hand here, but I'm not sure if betting is the best option here. I still think both players have a flushdraw/9 or a Tx hand.
Instead of checking I could also make a 'fake' blocking bet here, hoping for a raise, but that's kind of tricky with the backdoor flush and paired board. Another option is a normal value bet that hopefully gets pair by a Tx hand. I chose to check, but the hand was checked out.

Today I'll post a hand against a player who is considered one of the better cash gamers in the Netherlands, Jorryt van Hooft AKA 'TheCleaner11'. He was sitting on 3 NL200 tables on Pokerstars and I've never played against him, so decided this would be a nice time, as he normally plays higher.

During this session we only played 2 big pots against each other and this is the second). He was playing a tight game and I haven't seen him do anything out of the ordinary. He seemed to be playing ABC poker and was not really agressive, just standard. On to the hand:

POKERSTARS GAME #11499183957: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($1/$2) - 2007/08/15 - 10:26:59 (ET)
Table 'Autonoma' 6-max Seat #5 is the button
Seat 2: Tobsen ($40 in chips)
Seat 3: TheCleaner11 ($289 in chips) -> 17/14/2,5 (500 hands)
Seat 4: tigerti ($99.20 in chips)
Seat 5: AKA_PSV ($362.55 in chips)
Seat 6: onweed__ ($203.20 in chips)
onweed__: posts small blind $1
Tobsen: posts big blind $2
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to AKA_PSV [Ks Ad]
TheCleaner11: raises $6 to $8
tigerti: folds
AKA_PSV: raises $20 to $28
Standard re-raise in position here
onweed__: folds
Tobsen: folds
TheCleaner11: calls $20
He seemed to play tight OOP, but as we are almost 150BB deep I expect him to call with any PP and probably some SC's as well.
*** FLOP *** [Qs Ac 6d]
TheCleaner11: checks
This doesn't mean much
AKA_PSV: checks
I decide to check this flop to control the pot and because he might try to steal the pot this way and when he's drawing he probably has 3/5 outs at best.
*** TURN *** [Qs Ac 6d] [Jh]
TheCleaner11: bets $47
He makes a bet a little bit smaller the the pot.
AKA_PSV: calls $47
By checking the flop I induced a bet from him here, so this is an easy call. He could be doing this, thinking I missed the flop.
*** RIVER *** [Qs Ac 6d Jh] [6h]
TheCleaner11: bets $99
Now it gets interesting. As I called the turn, he knows that I have some sort of hand so he either has a very strong hand (AQ/JJ) or he is trying to get me off KK/AK, with a hand that has no showdownvalue against these.
AKA_PSV: calls $99
My call here is very thin, also because he was playing very tight, but by checking the flop I under represented my hand and he may try to push me off KK.
*** SHOW DOWN ***
TheCleaner11: shows [Jd Js] (a full house, Jacks full of Sixes)
AKA_PSV: mucks hand
TheCleaner11 collected $349 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
